Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS

Hired equipment will remain the property of FAB Events Limited at all times.
During the period of hire, the Client is solely responsible for the hire goods and must insure against all risks.
The Client undertakes to keep the hired goods in excellent order and condition and to return all equipment to FAB Events Limited in such order and condition.

BOOKING DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

FAB Events Limited can only secure a date once a signed booking form and deposit have been received. The deposit amount is £100 per booking and is non refundable with 2 exceptions;
1) When the engagement has been cancelled by FAB Events, in this case, the full amount will be refunded immediately.
2) The event is cancelled by a Government Act, or provision of our entire service is banned under Government Guidance or Law.
The final balance of any booking must be paid 1 month before the event date indicated in the booking confirmation. If the final balance is not received in full by this time FAB Events LTD reserve the right to refuse to provide services on this booking and the deposit and any subsequent payments will be non refundable.

DATE CHANGES AND FLEXIBILITY

If for any reason you wish to change the date of your booking, we can transfer any balances paid, across to a new booking for the same client (subject to availability *).

DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND COLLECTION

FAB Events Limited will endeavour wherever possible to ensure that pre-agreed delivery and collection times are adhered to. Unless otherwise agreed FAB Events Limited require at least 1 Hours clear access to any locations where our items are to be installed before use.
Unless otherwise agreed, all services are installed and delivered 1 hour before the start time of the event. Items are also collected and removed at the end of the hire period.
Should the event space require access via a lift or stairs this should be advised by the Client prior to completing a booking, and may be subject to an additional charge. FAB Events Limited reserves to right to refuse installation of the hired equipment should it feel the location is not suitable / safe to do so.
Once on location the hired equipment cannot be moved from one site to another by the Client.
In the event of any equipment requiring repair as a result of the Client’s negligence, misuse or abuse, then the Client shall bear the cost of any such repair.
In the event that the goods are damaged beyond economical repair, or are lost, the Client shall bear the full write-off cost.

DANCE FLOOR INSTALLATION CONDITIONS

We must be able to reach the install location with our wheeled trolleys so we ask you to check that ramped or lift access is available. We do not allow tables, chairs, stickers, transfers or decorations to be placed on the dance floor. Please check with us before proceeding with a booking if you are unsure of these conditions. If our installation team arrive at the venue and feel that the conditions are unsuitable we reserve the right to refuse the installation without refund unless explicitly agreed in writing by us. Do not use metallic confetti or confetti cannons on these starlit floors it can cause them to short circuit and stop working, we cannot be held responsible if this happens and damages may be charged. As with all electrical products we advise that no drinks are spilled onto the dance floor or its power supply as this may cause the lights to switch off. We ask that you as the client request the venue / entertainment to remind guests not to take drinks on the dance floor.

PHOTO BOOTHS, MAGIC MIRRORS, SMART BOOTHS, VIRTUAL PHOTO BOOTH and SELFIE SERVICES

In the event of any printer malfunctions with our print service, our attendant will endeavour to fix and reprint any missing prints at the event or at the end of the hire period whilst on site. In the rare occasion where this cannot happen, we will print these missing prints within 7 days of the event ending and provide these in the post to you in which instance you will be offered a £50 refund for the inconvenience caused. The software and prints will contain our company name or logo.

REFUNDS POLICY

Should any of our machines breakdown over the course of your event, or an item of furniture arrive damaged due to no fault of the client or their guests, FAB Events Limited will refund this machine(s)/item(s) on a pro-rata basis.

CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event of FAB Events cancelling the agreement due to a Force Majeure Event as specified in these terms and conditions, we will endeavor to offer you an alternative service of style and cost for you to approve. In the event that you do not approve of the replacement or no replacement is available, We will offer you a full refund.
These terms and conditions are designed to offer protection to both parties. There is a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period from the date of booking where the client can choose to cancel the booking without charge. After 14 days the following cancellation charges apply:

CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
Less than 1 month to Event date – 100% of the agreed fee.
Less than 3 month to Event date – 50% of the agreed fee + any unrecoverable costs incurred.
More than 3 months to Event date – Deposit only + any unrecoverable costs incurred.

The above cancellation fees are an important part of the terms and conditions agreement and are accepted by the client on payment of a booking deposit. This cancellation policy applies to hire items only. Any custom, printed, or bespoke items are non-refundable. Management and design fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, based on how much work has been carried out to date.
All cancellation fees must be paid within 10 days of cancelling the booking.

  • ‘unrecoverable costs’ are items such as projection design and creation which may be purchased from 3rd party companies which we pay for in advance of your event to ensure they are ready for your event.

FORCE MAJEURE EVENT

A “Force Majeure Event” occurs where a party is unable to comply with its obligations under this Contract for a reason outside of its control (such as war, fire, death, illness or other capacity certified by a properly qualified medical practitioner, epidemic, accident, civil commotion, national calamity, order of Government or Local Authority having jurisdiction in the matter, changes in law, foreign government policy, act of God) and which is not attributable to any act or failure to take preventive action by FAB Events or the Client.

DISCLAIMER

FAB Events Limited accepts no responsibility for any injuries or claims whilst using FAB Events Limited’s hired equipment.
Any delays by the venue or booker will not influence the finish time, extensions will be at the discretion of the operator. In the rare event of any delays to our service due to late arrival, technical difficulties will be added to the time at the end of the booking in the first instance. If both FAB Events Limited and the client deem this is inappropriate, a refund may be discussed on a per item, pro-rota basis however the refund amount will never exceed the amount of the booking fee.
FAB Events Limited reserve the right to work in a safe environment. If at any time our operators feel compromised or intimidated by the behaviour of guests or they feel the equipment may be in danger of damage, we reserve the right to immediately withdraw from the event. No refund will be issued.
When using the photobooth all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Any dissatisfaction of service provided by us must be made during the operating time of the booking, so that we can attempt to rectify the situation. We cannot be held responsible for any disruption to service caused by any third parties, be it the venue, it’s staff, other suppliers or guests.
FAB Events Limited reserves the right to substitute and/or subcontract any goods for appropriate alternatives in the event that the actual goods quoted for are not available.
