Firstly let us say that we totally sympathise with how you must be feeling at this very difficult time and how the current pandemic is affecting plans for the wedding and life as a whole. I hope that you are experiencing support from your venue and fellow suppliers to try and minimise disruption and put you at ease, which is certainly something that we wish to do for you now. These are very different circumstances than any of us have dealt with before and it’s also a very troubling time for us as business and for our families.
After speaking with quite a few of our future clients, people are very much unsure of how wedding insurance is treating this pandemic and my advice here is to look at your policies individually and speak to an advisor if you are still unsure.
A majority of the venues we have spoken to and fellow suppliers are trying our best to support you with this and as such are offering to postpone services for your wedding to a new date, subject to availability, and will work with you to find a date that will work. This is something we are certainly will be offering to all our clients in the short term where appropriate. Any deposits or monies paid will simply be moved to the new date. If this is something you wish to explore firstly check with your venue their stance and then get in touch with us and we’ll gladly share availability. It is very important to pool your key suppliers diaries and find matching key dates with the suppliers and venue before confirming a new date otherwise you may lose out.
We originally mentioned that we were restricting rebooking for key summer dates however we thought long and hard about it and we can’t bare to impose anything like that at the moment so for now, if we have the date free you are welcome to move along to it.
As for events that are to go ahead as planned in the coming months we will be operating events in a COVID secure way.
1/ Safe distance – We know it seems daft now but sadly this pandemic is proving to be a real threat if not to us personally but to other loved ones we may come in to contact with. With this in mind, we / the team will be keeping a reasonable distance from your guests and ask that they respect this. We’ll still obviously take requests and wish to be in contact with you through the booking but sadly the hugs and handshakes are luxuries we have to avoid now.
2/ Photo booth / magic mirror services – we have decided to remove hats, glasses, wigs and mask props from our services unless specifically requested in writing. The use of masks, hats etc isn’t a very sanitary solution in the light of what’s going on. All other props will be santised between sessions. We will have to display signs stating only households to be featured per photo or which ever mixing guidance is applicable at the time of the event. Guests books can still be used although pens and glue sticks will be sanitised between uses and we ask that only our operators use the touch screen to start and interact with the sessions.
If you have any questions or simply wish to chat please feel free to reach out via the usual methods, our phone number 01254 449 045.
Let me assure you that if we work together we will get through this and you will have an amazing wedding day!
